Pilgrim is a hop variety originating from the United Kingdom, where it was developed by the renownedWye College. It belongs to the same family as First Gold and Herald and is one of the “dwarf” hop varieties. It was released to the market in 2000.
Characteristics: A spicy and grassy aroma reminiscent of Target. On the palate, it’s very hoppy and also green/grassy. Some detect pear.
Uses: Pale Ales, English Ales, IPAs
